King’s Casino has announced that its first €111,111 Buy-in One Drop High Roller event is to kick off as part of the World Series of Poker Europe that is to be held in November. The casino also revealed that more than 50 players had already paid the required deposit to join the event.
Currently, the One Drop is among the poker tournaments which feature the largest buy-ins on a global scale. Since its first event, which took place in 2012, the two organisers of the event – the One Drop and WSOP – have managed to raise over $18.5 million. The funds raised at the events are used in order to improve the living conditions for people in West Africa, India and Latin America who do not have access to clean water.
On the other hand, the King’s Casino has been a long-term partner with the World Series of Poker (WSOP), with two poker tournaments in Rozvadov being planned to kick off, and future plans for more events to be added in the series.
The owner of the King’s Casino Leon Tsoukernik commented on the event, saying that the number of entrants who have already registered have proved the unprecedented interest towards an event of this kind. He revealed that the casino has managed to already gather nearly half of the 111 player field with about six months left until the event’s start.
Mr. Tsoukernik also shared that the strong pre-registration process had made the King’s Casino add the enormous €10,000,000 guarantee.
The One Drop tournament, named after the charity organisation which is an official partner of WSOP, is to kick off on November 3rd. It will feature a guaranteed prize pool winnings of €10,000,000 for the flagship event, as well as prize estimated to €500,000 for the Little One for One Drop which is scheduled to take place on November 1st and 2nd.
A large number of high rollers have registered for participation in the €111,111 One Drop High Roller, including Fedor Holz, Phil Hellmuth, Antonio Esfandiari, Charlie Carrel, Boris Becker, Nick Petrangelo, Phil Ivey, Rainer Kempe, and many more.
The 2017 edition of WSOP Europe (WSOPE) is to start on October 19th with the €1,100 No-Limit Hold’em MONSTER STACK, an event featuring a €500,000 guaranteed prize pool. Apart from the MONSTER STACK event, ten other events will be featured, including the €1,100 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold’em and the €111,111 High Roller for One Drop. Another very attractive event from the WSOP Europe schedule is the €10,300 No-Limit Hold’em MAIN EVENT that is set to kick off on Saturday, November 4th, featuring a guaranteed prize pool estimated to €4,000,000.
